4 Women Owned Brands You Need For Your Birthday Glam

This past weekend was my birthday and I was serving LEWKS, notice I didn’t say looks, but LEWKS! I said to myself that most of 2020, I was in pajamas or lounge clothes and this year, I am normalizing getting glammed up, even if I don’t have anywhere to go. To kick start this glam energy, for my birthday I decided to serve different looks all weekend, with the support of some amazing black women owned businesses. These brands helped me strategically plan out my weekend, provided me with a BOMB wig and even some luxury outfits-I felt like royalty this weekend! 

But let’s get into the details of my birthday weekend, shall we?

Okay, so first thing’s first, this Prioritize Your Purpose 2021 Monthly Planner from Pre Planning Management organized my entire weekend, down to scheduling my appointments for makeup, dinner reservations, outfit tracking, and even budgeting-not just my money but my hours in the day. The owner Precious, is a successful event planner and she created this planner with all the bells and whistles to organize your plans for each month, including personal goals such as reading more books. The second brand that made my birthday glam a success was this GORGEOUS 26 inch custom colored pink lace frontal wig from Kolorbration! I have never in my life had the confidence to wear such a bold color (well, maybe like a highlight, but never the entire wig) and it was definitely a head turner. Literally everywhere I went, I received two compliments at minimum. In fact, when I went to Publix to pick up my birthday cake, one of the employees thought I was a celebrity. She swore I was from some TV show she watched and even took a picture of me. You couldn’t tell me anything!!

Lastly, a birthday lewk isn’t a lewk without the right outfit and let me just say that the owner of  Pretti Girl Parlor Curvatique snapped when she sent me these pieces for my birthday! Pretti Girl Parlor Curvatique is an online boutique specializing in curvy fashion with high quality pieces and they had me serving bomb curvy lewks all weekend. Since I had a fancy dinner planned Saturday night to bring in my birthday, I knew that the Jacqeline Blazer Dress was the perfect balance between sophistication and sexy with it’s champagne and lilac colors with gigot sleeves. I also want to address the fact that being busty can cause a challenge when wearing blazer dresses. Typically I find trouble finding the right fit in blazers and blazer dresses because of my bust area, but this dress fit mine perfectly!

Another outfit that I felt was made for my curvy body was their luxe lounge set! If you know me, you know I love anything that sparkles because it perfectly suits my personality. The owner of the brand sent me some really cute confetti filled plates and utensils for my birthday brunch from their Packed Party Confetti Time Party Bundle, and their colorful Packed Party The Bright Way Serving Tray, which I used to place my fruit on for me and my friends, and their Birthday Vibes 20 Ct. I wish I was able to show more pictures of these accessories, but once the mimosas started to kick in, I was out of it (mind you, this is a no judgement zone).
