Here's How To Prepare For 2020
2020 is almost here and I am so excited for what it is about to bring me and even you! This upcoming year is another decade that you have lived, and that is something to celebrate. Not only should you celebrate, but you should manifest all that you have been wanting throughout the years. Whether it be a healthy relationship, a successful business, growth and prosperity, whatever it is that you desired in 2010-2019, claim it in 2020! It will be yours! But first, you must write down your goals.
Goals are so important and I don’t understand it when people say goals are a waste of time, or question the purpose of creating new habits just because it’s a new year. I think that’s ignorant. To me, a new year means it’s time to reset your buttons and start fresh, so you need to prepare by writing your goals. You may be walking into a new season of your life in 2020, and you need to create new habits to show God and the new year that you are ready. To show you are ready, you should write your goals as well as an action plan to achieve them.
Creating a list of goals and new habits before going into the new year is like writing a grocery list before you go grocery shopping. When you write a grocery list, you prepare yourself before going into the store so you don’t get distracted, or so that you don’t forget what you came in for. I have completely forgotten so many times when I go grocery shopping what I came in for when I don’t have my list, and I end up overspending.
If you don’t create a grocery list, you’ll end up wasting your time and your money on things you don’t need and I don’t know about you, but I plan to make ALL 365 days of 2020 count and I don’t want it to go to waste.
When you write your goals, you act, speak and even spend with intention. The intention is to attract and maintain everything you desire, which is the energy I’m giving 2020.
SN: This weekend, I hosted the Secure Your Goals Vision Board Pajama Party with my Secured Society organization (if you’re in Atlanta, you definitely need to join, we’re on Meetup) and it was nothing short of fun. We started by writing a letter to 2020 about what we wanted to manifest. We then illustrated that letter with our vision board, finding things in magazines that related to what we wanted in that letter (there goes that grocery list analogy again, our letter was our grocery list and we shopped for what we needed through the magazines instead of just throwing random things on our board). This gave us structure and a better guide to what we want in 2020.
One person mentioned that if next year around this time, you don’t have everything on your board, don’t give up, keep going! Which we all agreed, never lose focus for what you believe in. Some things take time and you have to be patient, but aggressive.
Another thing we did that I suggested (which I think you should try) was introduced ourselves to each other 5 years from now.
My introduction went like this: Hey guys, my name is Davida Roach, and I am a multimillionaire. I have 3 successful businesses, I travel the world speaking to women on how to be empowered in their relationships and businesses. I recently returned from Dubai for the 5th time, which is beautiful by the way, and I just finished a business deal. My handsome husband and I are happily married, we live in our dream home, I have my G Wagon parked outside, and I have four different salons across the world. Oprah and I are close friends and she has partnered with me on multiple projects and I give all thanks to God.
I said more things, but you get the picture.
Who knows, this may all come true, or it may not, but I believe in the fact that you have to put it out in the universe what you want and you have to be specific! The universe won’t know what you want until you say it. But when you say it, you have to claim it like it’s already yours, then you’ll start walking in it. This all starts with your goals.
So if you haven’t done so yet, write your goals down before 2020 and be clear about what you want. God is about to give you a fresh visitation of His spirit, therefore you need to be ready.
I’ll see you in 2020.
Happy New Year!
